Not the message I want to post, but once again the behaviour of some (parents/spectators) has been reported to the committee and it is nothing short of disgusting. We understand that it is only a small minority but please just think before you open you mouth. Maybe you don’t think you are, maybe you just need to think.

It’s simple, watch the game and support the players, coach and club. There is NO PLACE for any abuse to be directed to anyone while you are watching. You are giving the club a bad name, and to be frank you are making yourself look bad.

DO NOT ABUSE anyone, players, coaches or supporters from either team, referees or stadium staff.

Let coaches coach, don’t try and coach from the sideline and let the players play the way the coach wants them to.

Basketball SA have been made aware of the behaviour of some members from our club, and in conjunction with the club, it has been reaffirmed that Behaviour Tech Fouls can be called on parents/spectators and they will go against your team. Two tech fouls on the bench is an ejection for the coach. The Stadium Support Officers have also been instructed to eject anyone who’s behaviour is not at an acceptable manner.

Both Basketball SA and the club have the right to ban any parent or spectator to attend any Basketball SA and/or club sanctioned event and will do so if behaviour does not improve.

Please it is a game to be enjoyed by everyone, everyone makes mistakes from time to time, even players and coaches. Relax and enjoy the game on game day/night, support the coaches and players, and talk positively, especially on the way home from games with your child, negatively grows rapidly!

We want everyone to be enjoying basketball, and we do not want to ban anymore parents from attending. So let’s get better as people.
